I am walking to continue the fight against this disease that devastates the lives of those diagnosed with it and the families that love and care for them. We need to find a cure for Alzheimer's Disease as there is never a good age for it to strike and the number of Early Onset cases continue to grow each year.
My family and I know this statistic all too well. Randy, my husband and soulmate of more than 35 years, began showing signs of Early Onset Alzheimer's at the very young age of 54. He promoted to heaven 3 years ago at the young age of 59. Randy's spirit remained strong until the end but the disease robbed him of his physical abilities throughout the majority of his illness.
For anyone who knew Randy, you know what a self-starter and go getter he always was. Before this disease forced him to retire, he was a very successful Petroleum Landman for over 30 years. His ability to succeed where others had failed and his persistence to get the job done was at the core of his success. He was a wonderful Husband, Father and Papa.
Alzheimer's can be devastating for any family at any age. For Randy, ourselves and future generations, please join me in fighting this disease!
Thank you for helping us advance Alzheimer's support, care and research!
