FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
1) Do I need to register my kids/grandpa/husband/etc.
They don't have to register, but here will be liability waivers at the Walk that we will need signed with their/your kids names on it.
2) What if it rains on the day of the Walk?
We will hold the event in rain or shine! Any changes will be posted here and on social media.
3) Can someone else pick up my T-shirt and registration wristband?
Yes, one person can pick up the materials for an entire team either at Bank Days or registration the morning of the Walk. All you need is the name of the participant(s) or team.
4) What if I can't make it to the Alzheimer's Association office for Bank Days?
You can still get your T-shirt(s) and all important information at registration the morning of the Walk.
6) Where do I park downtown?
We do not have any lots specifically designated for the Walk, but finding parking in one of the many lots near the Civic Center should not be a problem. Carpool, come early, and prepare to have fun!
7) Is there a registration fee?
It is free, but we encourage every participant to raise funds for the cause. Raise $100 to earn your official 2019 Walk To End Alzheimer's T-shirt!
8) Is it too late to raise money?
It's never too late! We will continue to raise money through the end of the year, hoping for every opportunity to END this disease.
9) Can I bring my (non-service) dog?
For liability concerns, we do not encourage it.
10) How long is the Walk route?
The long route is approximately 2 miles. The short route is approximately .5 miles. A route map is below.
