This year my ask is a bit different and a bit more desperate. Now that I’m battling cancer, I cannot work quite as hard on fundraising for my original passion – Alzheimer’s disease. Despite my lymphoma, my allegiance will not change. I may participate in a cancer Walk, but it will strictly be for research purposes so I can leverage any of their great ideas to make our Walk even better! I still want ALL donations directed to the Cincinnati Tri-State Walk to End Alzheimer’s. I’m not saying cancer is not a worthy cause, but so much more funding has gone into advancing research and finding cures and it's worked. I know I will be cured!
Unfortunately, the wonderful, amazing, brave people I know currently living with Alzheimer’s cannot say that.
That’s why my allegiance will not waiver, despite my leave of absence. For those of you that have asked what can you do for me? First, a simple prayer is all I need…and a donation. If you were going to spend $5 on a card, spend the $5 here and add a message to the scrolling wall on my page. If you wanted to send me a meal, but hate to cook, spend the $35 to feed the need for a cure or prevention of Alzheimer’s disease. If you intended to send me flowers (which I absolutely love, but my house currently looks like a funeral home), please spend the $75 here by planting a seed to cultivate the white flower – the promise of OUR First Survivor.
I will be back this fall, just in time for the Walk, but until then, I’ll need some help from you.
Thank for you for your prayers and love to all,
P.S. If you are interested on my updates, please friend me on Facebook. I'm posting updates daily.
Thank you for helping us advance Alzheimer's support, care and research!
