I'm walking to help reclaim the future for millions. By participating in the Cincinnati Tri-State Walk to End Alzheimer's on Saturday, Oct. 5, 2019 at Sawyer Point, 720 E. Pete Rose Way, Cincinnati, Ohio 45202. I'm committed to raising awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s research, care and support.
Currently, more than 5.7 million Americans of all ages have Alzheimer's and that number is expected to grow to as many as 16 million by 2050. It is the 6th leading cause of death in the United States and has no cure, at present. Since 2000, the year Dan died, deaths from heart disease have decreased by 14% while deaths from Alzheimer's have increased by 89%. Our future is at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease.
.I have been working for the Greater Cincinnati Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association for almost 18 years trying to help those families that have been affected by this devastating disease. During this past year, I personally have added two more family members and several more friends to the list of those that are suffering with a dementing illness. I am sure that those who are reading my story can name some that they know also. I am asking for your financial support as well as helping to raise awareness for this disease by joining us at the 2019 Walk if possible. If you have or had a loved one who has had any one of the Dementing Illnesses this is a great way to honor them. Please either walk with TEAM FERRIS-HAAS & FRIENDS or make a donation to our Team in their honor.
I would also ask you to share this request for the WALK TO END ALZHEIMER'S fundraiser with your friends who may be interested in seeing THE FIRST SURVIVOR in the very near future.
Thank you for joining the movement! The end of Alzheimer's Disease starts with you.
Thank you for helping us advance Alzheimer's support, care and research!
