WALK INFORMATION

Gates open at noon with the opening ceremony kicking off at 2pm on Sunday, September 22, 2019.  We encourage you to come early to avoid the lines, check-in, pick up your t-shirt (if you raised $100 individually), grab your promise garden flower and be part of the Walk to End Alzheimer's community.  All participants will enter through the main gate of the ballpark on the corner of Nationwide Blvd and Neil Ave.

We receive lots of questions about the walk route, so we've included the route below. Our opening ceremony begins inside the ballpark at 2pm and the 1.35 mile route immediately follows. The route is a nice stroll, very flat and ends with a cool down loop on the field. If you can't walk the entire way, feel free to stay in your seat inside the ballpark and cheer the walkers back in.

Join Bill's Buddies and the Ganzhorn Gang for our Mix & Mingle with a Twist happy hour networking event benefiting the Walk to End Alzheimer's on Thursday, 9/12, 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm at the Lazy Chameleon, 4028 Presidential Parkway, Powell, OH 43065.For $10, attendees receive two drinks and appetizers along with plenty of networking!  All proceeds go to the Central Ohio Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association to support research, education and caregiver support services. Benefit Concert: A Night to Remember

Team Jackie is holding their first-annual benefit concert, “A Night to Remember”. They are raising money for continued support of the Walk to End Alzheimer’s, leading the fight against this terrible disease. We have a spectacular evening planned featuring four well known bands stretching across several genres of music. It will be a fun-filled night of music, food and entertainment!

The Walk to End Alzheimer’s website now allows participants registered for a 2019 Walk event to log in to their participant center and set up a ‘Facebook Fundraiser’ so that all donations received through Facebook will credit their fundraising page, and will be deposited directly to the Alzheimer’s Association and their local Walk campaign. Facebook Fundraisers can motivate more friends to donate quickly on Facebook, and have the funds appear on your Walk to End Alzheimer’s fundraising page. You can easily invite your Facebook friends to support your Fundraiser, and they will see updates about your progress as well as from other friends who donate. Your donors are also encouraged to invite and share with their friends. 

Follow instructions posted HERE to learn how to link your participant page to Facebook.  Note: you have to start this process in your participant enter, NOT on Facebook. 
HERE is a short video to help you set this up correctly.  

IMPORTANT NOTE: Birthday Fundraisers and Donate Buttons do not count towards your Walk to End Alzheimer's total.  This fundraiser needs to be started in your Walk participant center.
