We are walking in honor of John ("Sean") Thomas O'Grady, who was diagnosed in March of 2009 and passed away March 29, 2013. This is Team O'Grady's 8th year at this wonderful event, and together we have raised more than $125,000 for this cause. John's family is so thankful to all our friends and family who supported us in this great event and especially to those who joined our family for the walk. The event is a wonderful family day with lots of great food, prizes, games, etc...
All you need to be at risk for Alzheimer's disease is a brain... that means each and every one of us is at risk. The statistics don't lie - if you and your family haven't been affected by this horrible disease, unfortunately you will be eventually. We have to pull together and stop this freight train!!
Currently, more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's and that number is expected to grow to as many as 16 million by 2050. Our future is at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease.
I need your support to do my part! Please make a donation to help the Alzheimer's Association advance research into prevention, treatments and a cure for Alzheimer's. For the millions already affected by the disease, the Association offers care, education, support and resources in communities nationwide.
Thank you for joining our movement! The end of Alzheimer's disease starts here.
