Last October we lost someone very special to Alzheimer's, our Nana Judy. She was a great lady! A loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She was a lot of fun and she made the best chocolate chip pie! Alzheimer's stole her away from us. It was slow at first, she was a little forgetful, we would giggle about how she misplaced things. But as time went on her struggle became really obvious. It was very sad to witness. Our Pa took great care of Nana, but it wasn't easy. So, to honor her, and Pa too, we want to try to make a difference by participating in the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's®. Too many people, more than 5 million Americans, have Alzheimer's and that number is expected to grow to as many as 16 million by 2050. We want to help in the fight. Alzheimer's is awful, it steals so much from people and their families. It must be stopped.
