This year my heart hurts a bit more going live with my donation page. Out of all the years that I have been involved in the walk, this year stings a bit more.
This year I am doing this to help find a cure for FTD. This is our friend Amanda. She was diagnosed with Frontal Temporal Dementia before she even turned 40. There is no cure. There is nothing out there to help fight this disease for her. It is such a rare form of dementia. It falls under the huge umbrella of Alzheimer's. It has affected EVERY single aspect of her life as a functioning adult.
Help me in the fight to raise awareness for this disease, or donate to help us in the fight to continue research. Every little bit helps us reach our goal. This awful disease took away so much at such a young age. We have so many laughs at great memories, it cant take that away.
Her parents are her main caregivers, 24/7. She can't be left alone, and they have moved into her home to care for her since moving her would add to the confusion. They are truly rock stars. My heart hurts for them, nobody should have to endure this with no hope for a cure.
Together, we can fight to help find hope with this disease. Please make a donation to advance the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association.
Thanks for taking the time to read this and even more so if you can donate, if you can't, then help spread the word.
much love to you all!
Thank you for helping us advance Alzheimer's support, care and research!
