MOBILE CHECK DEPOSIT

All walkers who are using a mobile check deposit (app) when taking donations, PLEASE read the following. 

In order to avoid a returned check (fee), we NEED you to take one extra step.

IF you have used mobile/electronic deposit for any checks, you MUST, endorse the check as "for mobile check deposit"

and NOT the normal way of signing off.

Do not turn in checks that have been deposited electronically (mobile app) if is not endorsed as above.

Important reminders for the Walk to End Alzheimer's

We're so excited to see you at the Walk on Saturday! In preparation, we wanted to share some Walk day details to make your event experience the best it can be!

INCLEMENT WEATHER
Walk is a rain or shine event. However, in the case of severe weather, we will cancel for the safety of our participants. If this is the case, we will update our Walk homepage and Facebook on or before the morning of the event.

 

WALK DAY TO-DO'S

 

 

Head to registration. Drop off any donations you've collected, pick up your wristband and official 2019 t-shirt ticket, if you've raised over $100.*

 

 

 

Go to the Promise Garden tent. Show them the wristband you got at Collection Day or the Registration table to select your flower:  Blue represents someone with Alzheimer's or dementia. Purple is for someone who has lost a loved one to the disease. Yellow represents someone who is currently supporting or caring for someone with Alzheimer’s. Orange is for everyone who supports the cause and vision of a world without Alzheimer’s.

 

 

Sign our Advocacy petition. Ask Congress to make Alzheimer’s a national priority and check to learn more about the Alzheimer’s Impact Movement (AIM).

 

 

Visit the Alzheimer’s Association booth. Learn more about the programs and services available near you and other ways you can get involved!

 

 

 

 

 

 

Enjoy! There's lots to do on Walk Day. Grab a snack, peruse our sponsor area, visit our Kids Zone take a team picture or have your picture taken by our social media crew! If posting to social media be sure to tag us (@alzgmc) and use #ENDALZ or #Walk2ENDALZ #ShowYourPurple.

Just don't forget to take part in our opening promise garden ceremony on the stage at 10:00 a.m.!

 

 

 

 

 

FAQ's For Walk Day

Do we have to pay to participate?

While there is no charge to participate in the Walk to End Alzheimer’s, we encourage everyone to fundraise $25 for Alzheimer's care, support and research.

When does registration end?

Registration is from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. The walk will begin promptly after the Ceremony Ends (Approx. 10:20am.)

Are pets, strollers, wagons, wheelchairs, bicycles and skates allowed on Walk Day?

Strollers, wagons and wheelchairs are acceptable, but for everyone's safety, please no skateboards, bicycles, inline skates and wheelie footwear.

Dogs are Ok to bring but MUST be kept on a leash, please be mindful of your pets’ needs (water, clean-up, etc).

What happens if it rains?

How do I get a Promise Garden flower?

Each registered walker with a wristband will receive a Promise Garden flower. Please choose the one color that best represents your connection to the cause. 

BLUE represents someone with Alzheimer's or dementia

PURPLE is for someone who has lost a loved one to the disease

YELLOW represents someone who is currently supporting or caring for someone with Alzheimer's

ORANGE if for everyone who supports the cause and vision of a world without Alzheimer's
