As many of you know, I have actively participated in the Walk to End Alzheimer’s for many years. Currently, more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's and that number is expected to grow to as many as 16 million by 2050. Our future is at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease for those who suffer. Raising money to advance the care for sufferers and research a cure is how to help radicate this disease. That’s what this walk means to me.
For me personally, I lost my beloved grandmother on February 1, 2017. During the final years of her life, she suffered from dementia. It is heartbreaking to know that the wonderful memories she had with her family & friends through 87 years were replaced with confusion and frustration to remember the life she had led.
Together, we can end Alzheimer's disease. I strongly believe in this organization and its efforts to spare many families the pain this disease causes.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for taking the time to read this. Any donation (large or small) is most appreciated. Most importantly, thank you for joining the fight against Alzheimer's!
Thank you for helping us advance Alzheimer's support, care and research!
