In June 2016, I started my service organization Music Making Memories and through music I have relieved anxiety, brightened moods and brought back memories for the Alzheimer's residents I visit. Today, I have over 10 volunteers that visit 14 different Alzheimer's care facilities throughout Overland Park, and Leawood, KS. Through popular songs, oldies, broadway classics, hymns and patriotic songs, I watch music transform people from unable to remember to singing lyrics; from barely responsive to humming; and from frustrated and anxious to harmonizing with me and smiling. While the work I do is what I love, I would love even more to find a cure for Alzheimer's Disease. Over 5.7 million Americans currently suffer from some form of Alzheimer's Out of the top 10 causes of death in the US, Alzheimer's Disease is the only one with no cure.
Would you PLEASE help me fight against this devastating disease? Please donate all that you can. Two years ago, this was something I cared about because it runs in my family. But today I am witnessing so many people decline rapidly from month to month and this is now VERY personal to me. These are people I care about and we must do something to find a cure and help those who have had their memories stolen by this devastating sickness.

THANK YOU. I need your help to reach my goal of raising $6,000, and can't do this without you. I really appreciate your donations and support.
