Alzheimer’s disease is relentless. So are we.
The Alzheimer's Association has supported our family with emotional and educational assistance since John's diagnosis of Younger Onset Alzheimer's Disease in December of 2015. We knew nothing about Alzheimer's, and it is definitely not what we expected. While his short term memory is non-existant, he still knows who people are and enjoys spending time with people reminiscing about the past. This disease has attacked the part of John's brain that affects his cognitive abilities. He is no longer able to drive, work, or do some of the every day tasks many of us take for granted. As a family, we have learned how to really appreciate life each day and each moment, one at a time. We appreciate your support and kindness.
