It's been almost 13 years since I lost my Nana Ruth to Alzheimer's Disease and I still miss her every day. She and my family battled the dreadful disease for more than 10 years. She is the reason why I started on my career path over 20 years ago and the reason why I work each day to enhance the quality of life for those living with memory loss.

Three years after my Nana lost her battle, my Grandma Ruby & Grandpa Leo both lost their battles with dementia. This year, my husband's dear Nana Gene lost her fight with Alzheimer's Disease.

When will Alzheimer's Disease stop taking over the lives of so many innocent individuals? I'm helping reclaim the future for millions by participating in the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's(R). Currently, more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's and that number is expected to grow to as many as 16 million by 2050. Our future is at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease.
