My connection to the Alzheimer's Association is on behalf of my wonderful mother-in-law. She is a beautiful, smart, loving and caring person, for whom I love dearly. Since her diagnosis ten years ago, I have witnessed the heartbreak and fear that this disease has left in its wake. I have also been privileged to witness the empathy, courage, and love that those closest to her have shown while caring for her and while attempting to make excruciatingly difficult decisions on her behalf. My hope is that, through fundraising and research, no other family will have to endure the uncertainty, loss, and sadness that ours has had to face while navigating Kris's Alzheimer's disease.
This year, for Kris and everyone affected by Alzheimer's, our family has joined with the Grand View Alzheimer's Special Care Center to raise money by participating in the Walk to End Alzheimer's®. Currently, more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's and that number is expected to grow to as many as 16 million by 2050. Our future and the future of our children are at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease.
Together, we can end Alzheimer's disease. Please make a donation to advance the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association.
