I’m walking in honor of Mary Fran Chrzanowski, my mother. I am walking to find a cure for Alzheimer’s and Dementia.
Alzheimer’s and Dementia impact each individual differently. My mother was in her early fifties when she was diagnosed. These diseases strip the individual of the characteristics and qualities that make them unique. Often times taking away their ability to communicate and express themselves.
I am walking to raise awareness. I’m raising awareness for the many avenues we can help to find a cure, but also to raise awareness and remind us of the individuals before their diagnoses.
My mother is passionate, an educator, kind-hearted, a musician, sensitive, a performer, loving, a volunteer, patient, a role model, and most of all - she is a unique individual fighting a battle we cannot comprehend.
Despite it all, she still manages to light up the room with her contagious smile and positivity.
Please join me as we walk to find a cure - for my mother, and for all of those affected by Alzheimer’s and Dementia. We walk for them.
Thank you for helping us advance Alzheimer's support, care and research!
