I'm walking to help reclaim the future for millions. By participating in the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's®, I'm committed to raising funds and critical awareness for Alzheimer’s research, care and support. I am very pleased to report that the Cresswind neighorhood I moved to in April 2018 will again partner with our team for this years walk. Our name is Klein's Crusaders ~ Cresswind Team 2019! We earned 9th place out of 117 teams participating in 2018 and look forward to more participants and funds raised for the walk on October 5th.
On March 20th, 2017 the Klein family lost our beloved husband, father, brother and PapPap, Rich Klein, to Early Onset Alzheimer's Disease. We donated his brain and spinal cord to Emory Brain Health and Dr. Allan Levey, the chief neurologist, has said this effort was significant to their research for a cure. We are confident that a breakthrough is coming and we need your help. Currently, more than 5+ million Americans are living with Alzheimer's and that number is expected to grow to as many as 16 million by 2050. Our future is at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease. Please consider making a donation to help the Alzheimer's Association advance research into methods of treatment, prevention and, ultimately, a cure for Alzheimer's. For the millions already affected by the disease, the Association offers care, education, support and resources in communities nationwide.
Thank you for joining the movement! The Alzheimer's Association is the brains behind saving yours and the end of this disease starts with you.Leslie Klein, Team Captain, Klein's Crusaders - Cresswind 2019
