As many of you know, my Aunt Freddi "beat" Alzheimer's last August. She was diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimer's Disease at the age of 52 and was unfortunately taken ten years later at the young age of 62.
My aunt's fight may be over, but I am still going! For my eighth year, I will be joining the Walk to End Alzheimer's. This year, I will be with the Walk to End Alzheimer's Boca Raton at the Mizner Park Amphitheater on November 10th to help raise funds and awareness. I have personally seen how devastating this disease is, not only for the patient but also for the caregivers and the family members that were forced to sit by and watch as our loved one slipped away.
Currently, more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's and that number is expected to grow to as many as 16 million by 2050. Our future is at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease.
We are walking for her and the others affected to help reclaim the future for millions. By participating in the 2018 Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's, we're committed to raising awareness and funds for Alzheimer research, care, and support. We need your support to do our part!
Please make a donation to help the Alzheimer's Association advance research into prevention, treatments and a cure for Alzheimer's. The only way to stop it is by finding a cure or a way to slow the progression to give time to find a cure. Thank you for joining our movement - the end of Alzheimer's disease starts here!
Thank you for helping us advance Alzheimer's support, care and research!
