I walk for my daughters' grandfather who they lost several years ago. They lost a good man in their Papaw. While they were very young, he started showing some signs of memory loss but was never formally diagnosed until he was in the advanced stages of dementia. At that point, it was too late to do anything is what the doctors told us. We spent every weekend with him to build memories until he passed away 3 years after the diagnosis. My girls and I have walked together for this cause to honor him. Please help us fight this disease and hope for a cure.
I'm leading the way to Alzheimer's first survivor by participating in the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's®. Currently, more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's and that number is expected to grow to as many as 16 million by 2050. Our future is at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease.
Together, we can end Alzheimer's disease. Please make a donation to advance the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association.
