As you all are aware, I participate in the Walk to End Alz every year in honor of my late grandfather, Bill Evans. This is my senior year and I want to raise more than I ever have before.
As a member of Sigma Kappa Sorority at the University of Florida, I am participating in the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's. This is our main philanthropy, and the reason I knew Sigma Kappa was my home during round two of recruitment. This cause is very near and dear to my heart, especially after losing my grandfather to dementia last summer. This disease takes your loved ones away from you before they are really gone. I am committed to raising awareness and funds to benefit Alzheimer's research, care, and support.
Currently, more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's and that number is expected to grow to as many as 16 million by 2050. Our future is at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease.
My goal is to raise $5,000, and I would truly appreciate your support in helping me achieve this. Please make a donation to help the Alzheimer's Association advance research into methods of treatment, prevention and, ultimately, a cure for Alzheimer's. For the millions already affected by the disease, the Association offers care, education, support and resources in communities nationwide.
Your support means so much to me. The end of Alzheimer's disease starts with us.
Thank you for helping us advance Alzheimer's support, care and research!
