As many of you may know, my mother was diagnosed with Alzheimer's a few years ago. Almost a year ago this October, she was placed into a memory care facility here in Old Town Alexandria. Watching my mother's quality of life be compromised by a disease like Alzheimer's has been one of the most challenging things to reconcile.
I am participating in The Walk to End Alzheimer's for the first time to honor my mother, Susan Cox. It would mean a lot to me if you would help me reach my modest goal of $300.00. No amount is too small. :)
Thank you for your support!
I'm leading the way to Alzheimer's first survivor by participating in the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's®. Currently, more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's and that number is expected to grow to as many as 16 million by 2050. Our future is at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease.
Together, we can end Alzheimer's disease. Please make a donation to advance the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association.
