This year marks our 6th year participating in the Alzheimer's Walk and we are still not any closer to finding a cure for this hideous disease that steals peoples memories, independence and takes a toll on their family and caregivers. WE NEED TO DO BETTER THAN THE STATUS QUO! WE need to come together and make others aware of the importance in fighting to find a cure so that our children and grandchildren could live in a world free of ALZHEIMER'S DISEASE. Its very scary and people don't like to talk about it,but it is a reality and more and more people are being diagnosed every day.
My Dad as you all know loved life and his family even more. He lived his life to the fullest even after his diagnosis he always remained happy and upbeat . He had a gift to make you laugh and smile even in the darkest times and he had the ability to always make you feel safe. That was his greatest attribute and people just loved him and gravitated to him. He was a very special man but to his wife, his children and grandchildren he was everything. We all love him and miss him. We will never forget him and to honor him we will celebrate his life with this Walk day and we will help in getting the word out and fight for a cure. We will fight for the people suffering and for their families . We will work together as a team and never give up on our families because that's what life is all about. My Dad taught us well.!!
Big Al's Team is ready to lace up our sneakers for another successful walk.
