My name is Linda McCue and I run a Specialized Dementia Unit. The photo above is one of my favorite residents enjoying our Gorgeous Grandma tea party. She didn't remember it the next day. I see firsthand every day the devastation that Dementia causes. I see the personality changes, the confusion, the anger...I see the guilt that family members carry with them. I really cannot describe with clarity all of the different facets that make up this disease. I can tell you that it is a thief. It robs families of their wives, mothers, daughters, sisters, husbands, fathers, sons and brothers, grandparents and friends. It does not know race or gender. Please, please help me in this fight. Please make a donation that will help to find a cure. I'm leading the way to Alzheimer's first survivor by participating in the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's®. Currently, more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's and that number is expected to grow to as many as 16 million by 2050. Our future is at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease.
Together, we can end Alzheimer's disease. Please make a donation to advance the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association.
