The ACE (Acute Care for Elders) Unit at UCHealth is a unique group of interdisciplinary healthcare workers that are passionate about taking care of the acutely ill elder adult. Though not all of the patients that we care for suffer from Alzheimer's disease, we see the daily affects on individuals and their friends and family members that Alzheimer's can have and we are committed to taking it on. We are walking in the Walk to End Alzheimer's for all of our patients, their family and friends, along with our own family members or friends that are affected by this disease.
Alzheimer’s disease is relentless. SO ARE WE. Please join our team for the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's®, the world’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support and research.
Our team will meet September 14th in City Park just south of the registration tent in the festival/check-in area for the Walk between 8-8:30AM (this area is southwest of the Museum of Nature and Science on the east side of the park). Amy's cell phone is 605-490-1414 and you can call or text if you're having a hard time finding the group. We are so excited to see you all there!
Remember that it will be hot, even though the walk is early, so be sure to bring water, snacks, and sunscreen.
