My dad, Art Ledesma, was robbed of his golden years due to a rapid case of Alzheimer’s. It took him from us when he was 69 years old. The disease is absolutely brutal. Watching my dad suffer this disease was heartbreaking and forever changed my life. I don’t wish this on anyone. Sadly, many of you will be impacted at some point in time. Progress in understanding the disease has been advanced by money raised for research. Money to support families is also important and that is why I am a Champion. I promised my dad that as long as I could....I will be his Champion.
I'm leading the way to Alzheimer's first survivor by participating in the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's®. Currently, more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's and that number is expected to grow to as many as 16 million by 2050. Our future is at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease.
Together, we can end Alzheimer's disease. Please make a donation to advance the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association.
