I'm leading the way to Alzheimer's first survivor by participating in the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's®. Currently, more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's and that number is expected to grow to as many as 16 million by 2050. Our future is at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease.
For the last 2 years, I have organized a team for my employer and was truly humbled by the stories that so many of YOU shared with me along the way. Whether it is a parent, a good friend or a loved one that is on this journey, or someone you have lost to this disease, I am walking for all of you!!! I walk because I know too many people impacted by Alzheimer's/Dementia. I walk because of the incredible work that the Alzheimer's Association does to support families struggling with this diagnosis. And, I walk because I believe there is a cure!!!
This year, I will once again sit on the Denver Chapter's Walk To Remember committee for this event. Did you know that 1 out of every 3 adults will receive a dementia diagnosis in their lifetime? Did you know that the Alzheimer's Association is the 3rd largest funder of research, only behind the US and Chinese government? These are a few of the reasons I raise money for this event and hope you will join me either by joining my team or with a financial contribution.
Together, we can end Alzheimer's disease. Please make a donation to advance the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association.
