This will be my 18th year walking to end Alzheimer's, the nation's sixth-leading cause of death. The Alzheimer's Association Memory Walk on October 13th in memory of my cousin Ernie and now others.
Below is one example of how our donations help in the fight against Alzheimer's...
Scientists have developed an imaging process they say for the first time can identify and track the progression of Alzheimer's disease in people's brains, even when there are no symptoms -- a development that could lead to earlier diagnosis and treatment for the disease.
Help make this a reality sooner rather than later. Help me reach my goal of $7,000 by making a tax-deductible donation. All donations benefit the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association. Every dollar makes a difference in this fight, and we all make a difference.
The only way they will ever find a true diagnostic test for this disease, or a way to halt or reverse the process, is through research. Research needs funding. And it's people like us who are going to get us there.
If you can make a donation to the Alzheimer's Association, no matter the amount, please donate either online by clicking the link above. Or you can donate by sending a check, payable to the Alzheimer's Association, to me at 1243 Mission Road, South San Francisco, CA 94080.
You will find the "Donate" and "Mail-In Donation" buttons above.
You can also join the walk on 10/13! It's at the Arena Green on N. Autumn St. in San Jose. It's a 3-mile walk, with a 1-mile shortcut :-) Registration is at 8 a.m., ceremony at 9:30, and the walk commences at 10.
Hoping all is well with you and your loved ones!
Thank you for helping us advance Alzheimer's support, care and research!
