I'm participating in the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's® to honor my Brother-in-Law Tony St.Amant. If you don't know him, Tony is a man who loves his family and will do anything to help. He can fix almost anything and if he can't 'fix' it, he will somehow put it back together and make it better than before. I will never forget my 50th birthday party where we ate sushi and drank saki in my favorite sushi restaurant. But that was not enough for Tony. We drove back to our house and continued to drink more (and more) saki until we could drink no more. When you drink saki, you always pour the shot for the other person. it is a sign of respect and friendship. That night Tony made sure my glass was never empty and I did the same for him.
While we may not have seen each other as much as we could have, I always knew that if I needed him, he would be there. I hope he realizes how much my wife Sabrina (his sister) and I love him. If there is anyone who can stand up to Alzheimers, it is Tony. Together we will complete this walk and start the journey to ending this disease.
Thank you for helping us advance Alzheimer's support, care and research!
