We walk for Peggy Lee, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, who was taken by this horrible disease 8 years ago. Hanah and I participated in our first walk last year in our hometown of Santa Clarita. It was an emotional day. We were asked to choose a Promise Flower when we arrived. Blue represents someone who has Alzheimer's, yellow for someone who supports or is caring for someone with Alzheimer's, orange to support the cause of a world without Alzheimer's, and purple for those who have lost someone to Alzheimer's. Sadly, Hanah I chose the purple flowers. Everyone was asked to gather and form a Promise Garden before the walk began. There was a sea of purple flowers and it broke our hearts. We walk for my mom and because there are too many purple flowers.
This year we are walking with our Sacramento family. Together, we can end Alzheimer's disease. Please make a donation to advance the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association.
