This disease and the devastation it has caused my family has been heavy on my heart for years. As its inevitable progress becomes more real and apparent, I become more desperate to combat it.
It may be too late to save my grandma, but it is not too late to give Alzheimer's Disease a big middle finger for future generations.
-1 in 10 Americans over the age of 65 has Alzheimer’s.
-Between 2017 and 2025 every state is expected to see at least a 14% rise in the prevalence of Alzheimer’s.
-There has been an 89% increase in deaths due to Alzheimer’s between 2000 and 2014.
-More than 5 million Americans are living with Alzheimer’s.
-By 2050, it’s estimated there will be as many as 16 million Americans living with Alzheimer’s.
This is an epidemic.
