I'm leading the way to Alzheimer's first survivor by participating in the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's®. Currently, more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's and that number is expected to grow to as many as 16 million by 2050. In 2011, my great grandma, Lucille Reilly, passed away of Alzheimer's. I was ten years old, but I remember it like it was yesterday. Alzheimer's took her recollection of everyone that was close to her. Each time we saw her, it was like we were meeting her for the first time. I remember her telling my mom, who she practically raised, "I don't know who you are, but you seem like a good person." It was moments like this that made it feel like we were losing her again and again each time we saw her. So many people have lost or know someone who has passed away of Alzheimer's. A family who has a loved one with Alheimer's loses them a little each day until they pass. Please help me raise money so that we can end this heart wrenching disease.
Together, we can end Alzheimer's disease. Please make a donation to advance the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association.
