Later on, my uncle was diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer’s. Growing up, my uncle was the jokester, the one who would make fun of your mom with you just to pester her and make you smile. After the diagnosis, it all changed. Seeing my uncle struggle to put his jacket on was the moment I knew I needed to continue support the fight to end Alzheimer’s. My Uncle Greg passed away in 2017. He left behind family and friends who loved him dearly. All of us wish he was still with us today.
2018 will mark my 12th year participating in the Walk to End Alzheimer’s. Since marrying my husband and becoming a mother, the walk has become a family affair. My husband, Mark, has been walking with me since 2013, our dog, Bauer, since 2014 and our daughter Addison will make her 3rd walk this year with us!
We believe the first survivor is out there. We believe the research will continue until there is a cure. We believe we can end Alzheimer’s.
Thank you for your support. It means the world to us.
