Hi. My name is Kelly and this is for my AMAZING Dad, Bob Southard.
I was about 11 when I first met Bob Southard. I remember first meeting him when he took me and my Mom to a movie and Baskin Robins. He loved ice cream and so did I. We were for sure meant to be Daughter and Dad!. He married my Mom and I was lucky enough to be part of that package. He accepted me as his own and I NEVER questioned his love for me. There are so many things to say about my Dad but I will try and keep this simple. He was an extremely smart man that loved God, family, work, and pleasing others. He was always positive and was never unkind. He had the answer to every question and could fix anything. He was always willing to help. He loved talking, going to movies, apple pie, and ice cream. He has touched countless lives with kindness and love. I am so thankful that I had the chance to know him. I am so thankful he was my Dad. I love you Bob Southard. I will see you again someday and you will be healed from the horrible disease that took your life.
I’m leading the way to Alzheimer's first survivor by participating in the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's®. Currently, more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's and that number is expected to grow to as many as 16 million by 2050. Our future is at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease.
Together, we can end Alzheimer's disease. Please make a donation to advance the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association.
