I've always said that one doctor visit can change your life. That day for us was June 20, 2019. We learned that Bob has Alzheimer's Disease. It was a tumultuous time for us. Since then we have cried, laughed, shared, researched, joined support groups, completed medical tests at Banner Alzheimer's Institute in Phoenix, adjusted medications more than once and are just now settling into a new "routine" life …. for now.
We want to help to educate and raise funds to find a cure for this disease, and hope you will join us!
The Walk to End Alzheimer's is the world's largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer's care, support and research. It is held annually in more than 600 communities nationwide.
The month of November is known as Alzheimer's Awareness Month. President Ronald Reagan made that designation in 1983. According to the Alzheimer's Association, at that time there were less than 2 million people with the disease. Today, an estimated 5.8 million Americans of all ages are living with Alzheimer's dementia.
Thank you for helping us advance Alzheimer's support, care and research!
