It has been both a blessing and a challenge to work with people suffering from Alzheimer's, both victims and their family members, trying to deal with the drastic change and special needs that are common with this disease.
Imagine losing yourself, your history, your memories, your relationships. All the while knowing something is missing and terribly wrong. Unable to answer the simplest questions, struggling in your mind to find and form simple words.
As a caregiver, husband, wife, or child of the loved one with Alzheimer's, you watch your loved one fade away. You watch them struggle. Your life revolves around keeping them as safe and as happy as possible.
