Susan Steinmetz Aslin
My mom was diagnosed in 2012 with Alzheimer's. She was able to keep it secret for quite awhile. She took a turn for the worse when my dad, Jim Aslin, passed away suddenly in Oct. 2014. Since then it has slowly progressed until last fall. Mom decided to start telling people about her diagnosis in hopes of spreading the word for a cure. We moved mom into assisted living in July '19. Slowly we are being robbed of the mom/ nana we all know and love. Please help us find a cure!
I'm leading the way to Alzheimer's first survivor by participating in the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's®. Currently, more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's and that number is expected to grow to as many as 16 million by 2050. Our future is at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease.
Together, we can end Alzheimer's disease. Please make a donation to advance the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association.
