In 2013 my grandmother was diagnosed with dementia and our family had no clue what the next 9 years would have in store for us. She lost her battle in November. My grandmother was one of the strongest woman I had the pleasure of knowing. She lost her ability to speak, take care of herself, feed herself and so much more and that is one thing I would never wish upon my worst enemy.
She is my 'why' - my 'why' I started with RivALZ 10 years ago. I am going into my 10th season with even more fire than I have ever had. I never want a child, grandkid, sister, brother, friend, etc. to experience what my family went through. I am here to raise as much money as I can for research to hopefully find a cure one day.
