Thank you for your interest in why I am involved in Ride to End ALZ South Carolina.
I'm raising funds this year for the handsome boy pictured with me: My ten-year-old grandson, Micah.
Why Micah? Because I want him to grow up in a world without Alzheimer's. I don't want him to have to worry about how this horrific disease may affect him or those he loves as he ages. I don't want him to worry about losing his memory or cognitive ability. I want Alzheimer's to be one less worry for him. Growing up has plenty of worries on its own.
As you may know, I was the Volunteer Chair of the Planning Committee for this event for many years. I'm now a part of the Alzheimer's Association South Carolina Chapter staff and serve as the Director of this event.
Will you support my fundraising efforts with a generous donation? It takes all of us working together to fund the much-needed research to find treatment and a cure.
Thank you for supporting my vision of a world without Alzheimer's!
Jerry
