This July, I'll be participating in Ride to End ALZ South Carolina - a three-day, 255 mile cross-state cycling journey. I am determined to go the distance for all those affected by Alzheimer’s. I am riding in memory of my late grandmother-in-law Nina Martinez. I will also be riding for my own grandmother Sadie Bigsby who has severe late-stage Alzheimer's. I will ride as well for my amazing friend Belle Cheney. Our mission is to raise the funds needed for the research, care and support efforts of the Alzheimer's Association.
We all know someone who has been affected by this terrible disease. I ride because I am inspired by the strength of the more than 6 million Americans living with this disease, and the over 11 million family members and friends who provide them with care. I want to help speed up the research and exciting progress being made in the fight to end Alzheimer's.
Right now, there is no shortage of ideas in Alzheimer’s research — only dollars. Will you join me by making a donation today? $20? $100? A dollar a mile? Anything you can spare will go to that research. With each mile I ride and every dollar raised, I am confident we will get closer and closer to more treatments and ultimately finding that first survivor of Alzheimer’s. Thank you for cheering me on!
Cheer Me On!
