I am participatingin the Ride to End ALZ®, a cycling eventsupporting the Alzheimer’s Association in its mission to discover treatmentsand prevention for Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias. This ride is deeplypersonal for me, as I ride in honor of my Papa, who we lost to Lewy Body Dementia in 2024.
Papa was alwaysthere for us. He watched every sports game, no matter the time or distance, cheering us on with a heart full of pride. His strength, resilience, andunwavering support throughout his battle with dementia inspire me every day.Even as the disease took its toll on him, Papa fought with every ounce ofstrength he had — and we, his Weasels, carry that fight forward.
We ride as Team Papa’s Weasels, a nickname he lovinglygave us and one that has been a part of our family’s vocabulary our wholelives. It’s a term of endearment that reminds us of the love and joy Papabrought to every moment, even through the most difficult times.
With every mile Iride, I am raising funds to help advance research toward the first survivor ofAlzheimer’s. This cause is not just about riding — it’s about making adifference for those who are still fighting, just as Papa fought, and forfuture generations who deserve a world where Alzheimer’s and dementia are nolonger a threat.
Please join me insupporting this incredible cause. Your donation will help fund criticalresearch that could one day lead to the cure that so many families desperatelyneed. Thank you for cheering me on, for honoring my Papa, and for helping tomake this ride — and this fight — meaningful.
Cheer Me On!
