I'm riding in memory of my sister Karla Pinson who passed away at 61, shortly after being diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer's disease and my mother Virginia, who suffered from dementia. Karla was a wonderful big sister, wife, daughter, and mom. She was headstrong, smart, and fun. She loved her family, friends, her dogs and was simply full of zest for life. My Mom was amazing. She juggled working full time, raising 3 kids with my dad, caring for my grandparents, volunteering in the community, and helping those in need. My sister and my mom were courageous throughout their battle with dementia.

Progress has been made but there's much work ahead in finding effective treatments and ultimately a cure for Alzheimer'sand other dementias. The Alzheimer's organization is leading the charge to fund vital research and support individuals and their families impacted by this terrible disease. I'll be riding on June 1st to raise funds for this work and am so grateful for your support.
