ALZ and dementia has devastated my family. My family and I have lost many close to our hearts; my mom, dad, father-in-law, cousins, to name a few. Others close to me are living it now... I hate it. I hate looking down the road.
Every patient, every family, every caregiver has their own journey. Their experiences, their challenges are different, yet there is one similarity, it's exhausting. Whether it's a memory that is lost or what was once a quick trip to the store becomes a long worrisome trip. If you are lucky, you slip away, not realizing it, but watching the decline is dreadful and the sense of helplessness takes a while to accept, if you even can.
Right now, there is no shortage of ideas in Alzheimer's research- only dollars. By participating in the 2025 Ride to End ALZ, I've committed to raising awareness and funds to advance the research efforts of the Alzheimer’s Association®.
You can help me. These dollars are desperately needed- for the more than 5.8 million Americans living with Alzheimer's, their 16 million caregivers, and millions more who have lost a loved one to this disease.
