This year, instead of having my usual photo of Mom and I having espresso martinis after her Alzheimer's diagnosis, I'm posting a picture of happier times. I hope that by raising money to combat Alzheimer's, more families can have more happy times for longer.
I think that most of you know that after many years of suffering from Alzheimer's, Mom died in 2020. It was very difficult to watch the changes in Mom's life over her last several years. Alzheimer's took her memory, her ability to live outside a nursing home, her independence, and most of the things that make life worth living. So many of my friends are now experiencing the same pain in their families. 90% of the proceeds of this ride will be used for research to prevent, treat, and cure Alzheimer's, which will make life better for so many people! The other 10% will be used to provide care and support for families trying to deal with the disease.
Thank you for joining the fight against Alzheimer’s!
Cheer Me On!
