We all know someone who has been affected by Alzheimer's, I am no different. I lost my Daddy in November 2022. He had suffered from Alzheimer's during the last years of his life. To watch someone so incredibly strong and resilient deteriorate so quickly was devasting, heartbreaking and left me feeling helpless. I have since vowed to help raise awareness of this disease, partner in connecting families of loved ones with Alzheimer's to much needed resources and be a support for those suffering with this disease.
This July, I will be volunteering to help with our local Ride to End ALZ South Carolina, a three-day, 255 mile cross-state cycling journey. The mission is simple, to raise the funds needed for the research, care and support efforts of the Alzheimer's Association.
Right now, there is no shortage of ideas in Alzheimer’s research — only dollars. Will you join me by making a donation today? I am confident we will get closer and closer to more treatments and ultimately finding that first survivor of Alzheimer’s.
Thank you for your support and for remembering my hero!
Cheer Me On!
