A couple of years ago, a dear friend of mine asked me to participate in this ride to honor her mother. I had no idea what I was getting myself into and had never ridden more than 50 miles on the roads before the event. Each day presented longer distances and challenges, but each day I was inspired by the people who were out there to help raise money for Alzheimer's research. It was a privilege to finish all 252 miles with such an amazing group of people working towards a common goal. This year will be my 3rd year riding and I been selected as an ambassador for the Bluffton/Hilton Head area. Therefore, I have committed myself to asking others to join me, and continue riding for the cause. Together we can make a difference.
Currently, more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's disease and that number is expected to grow to as many as 16 million by 2050. Now is the time to come together to change the course of this disease!
Please support my efforts by making a donation. All funds raised benefit the Alzheimer's Association and its work to provide care support for all affected and advance research toward better treatments, prevention, an, ultimately a cure for Alzheimer's disease.
Thank you for joining the fight to #ENDALZ! Your support means the world to me.
Cheer Me On!
