I am determined to go the distance for all those affected by Alzheimer's or other dementia!
This July, I'll be participating with my wife Lisa in our second Ride to End ALZ South Carolina, a unique 252-mile journey for cycling enthusiasts. Previously known as A Ride to Remember, this event raises funds for the research, care and support efforts of the Alzheimer's Association.
I ride because I am inspired by the strength of the more than 6 million Americans living with this disease, and over 11 million family members and friends who provide them with care. I want to help speed up scientific progress toward better treatments and prevention.
In December 2021, my mom, Jean Jervis, died from Alzheimer's that devastated her memory and ravaged her physically. I also ride on behalf of my father-in law, Ron Cowan, who died 11years ago of Lewy Body dementia, and my mother-in-law, Marge Cowan, who is also battling dementia
Right now, there is no shortage of ideas in Alzheimer's research — only dollars. That's why I am asking for your support.
By participating on the Ride to End ALZ South Carolina, I'm fueling support services and cutting-edge research to change the trajectory of Alzheimer's disease. Each dollar I raise helps advance research toward the first survivor of Alzheimer's and provide help for those facing dementia today.
Thank you for donating and cheering me on!
