The 15th edItion of the Ride to End Alzheimer’s begins today in Greenville, SC. After 3 grueling days in the SC sun and hills, the riders will cross the Ravenel Bridge in Charleston and finish in Mt Pleasant. They will cover 258 miles. Robin, Tim and my brother Scott are riding this year. Katie, Gigi and I are riding virtually in Tampa and Amelia Island.
Recently, the first medication showing significant slowing of progression of Alzheimer’s Disease was released by the FDA-Lecanemab. So, progress is being made. But, still no cures! Through your donations the Ride raises monies to continue research into the pathology and treatment of Alzheimer’s Disease. My mother suffered from this terrible disease for 17 years.
