Friends and Family members,
This will be my 9th year participating in A Ride to Remember/Ride to End Alz. Cycling 255 miles in 3 days from Greenville to Charleston in July is hard work but living with Alzheimer's is even harder.
Why I ride....In 2012, my mom, Shirley Hodges, was diagnosed with Alzheimer's. In 2017, my mother's sister, Jan Bond, was also diagnosed with Alzheimer's. My mom moved to Greenville, SC in 2013 to be close to me. On April 28, 2023, I brought Mom to my house and called in hospice. Her long journey ended on May 12, 2023. Mom, I love you. Thank you for being the best Mom ever. Heaven gained a beautiful lady.
Thank you to everyone that has made a donation in the past. We are still cycling for that cure. Please consider a donation to Ride to End Alzheimer's South Carolina/Ride to Remember 2024
All funds raised benefit the Alzheimer's Association and its work to enhance care and support programs and advance research toward methods of treatment, prevention and, ultimately, a cure for Alzheimer's disease. Thank you for joining the fight against Alzheimer’s disease!
Cheer Me On!
