By participating in A Ride to Remember, I'm taking on the enormous physical challenge and personal adventure of cycling across South Carolina. I've also committed to raising awareness and funds to advance the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer’s Association®.
Currently, more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's disease and that number is expected to grow to as many as 16 million by 2050. Now is the time to come together to change the course of this disease!
Please support my efforts by making a donation. All funds raised benefit the Alzheimer's Association and its work to enhance care and support programs and advance research toward methods of treatment, prevention and, ultimately, a cure for Alzheimer's disease.
Thank you for joining the fight against Alzheimer’s disease! Your support means the world to me on this memorable journey!
If you have a loved one who is currently a victim of this terrible disease I will gladly place their name on my bib number that I pin to the back of my riding jersey and ride for them or in memory of a loved one, friend, neighbor or any one else you request me to ride for. You or I could be next to contract Alzheimer's disease is why I am doing all I can to fund research to find a cure! Too many have died already. Research has found many cures in the past, why not Alzheimer's?
I lost my brilliant and wonderful brother-in-law December 2019 to this awful disease. He left a huge void in the lives of all his family. I also have a good friend and faithful donor who has been diagnosed with Alz. I don't know of anyone who has not been touched by Alzheimer's disease. Please donate and be generous! The next victim could be me or you!
