This July, I'll be participating in Ride to End ALZ South Carolina, a three-day, 255-mile cross-state cycling journey from Greenville to Charleston. I am determined to go the distance for all those affected by Alzheimer’s. Our mission is to raise the funds needed for the research, care, and support efforts of the Alzheimer's Association.
We all know someone who has been affected by this terrible disease. This past Monday I helped my mom get my dad into Memory Care. He's been declining for about 10 years and now doesn't recognize his wife of 65 years or me or either of my brothers. He was a college professor, a very smart man, and a great dad. I've also lost two uncles to this disease. It's so sad.
I ride because I want to help speed up the research to end Alzheimer's. It's a scourge on humanity and there's no known cure. It strikes without any known cause.
Right now, there is no shortage of ideas in Alzheimer’s research — only dollars. Will you join me by making a donation today? With each mile I ride and every dollar raised, I am confident we will get closer to better treatments and ultimately finding that first survivor of Alzheimer’s. Thank you for cheering me on!
Cheer Me On!
