We Ride Because.... 

We ride for Kim’s mom, Mary (nee Maria de Los Angeles). Mary is a 4’8” social butterfly who is always laughing and giving out hugs. To love Mary is to meet her. She is cherished by her family, friends, and people she meets at the grocery store (or anywhere for that matter). Mary, a talented clothes designer/maker, glass fusion artist, Bananagrammer, and Mexican Train domino player, was recently diagnosed with Alzheimer’s Disease. We ride so that future “Marys” in this world can continue to brighten people’s days as our Mary does for us.

We are going the distance for all those affected while raising funds and awareness to advance research toward the first survivor of Alzheimer’s. 

Right now, there is no shortage of ideas in Alzheimer’s research — only dollars. But together, we can help change that. 100 percent of the funds raised from this event will go toward the Association’s efforts to discover methods of treatment and prevention for Alzheimer's and other dementias.
